Executive Summary

The Problem

Lion Street approached APIS Productions with a large concern they had in regards to the time agents were spending gathering necessary documents for their client's insurance needs. Insurance agents at Lion Street were burdened by having to fill out complicated forms to identify what insurance documents their clients needed and then parse through long lists of related documents. This process was slow, frustrating and lacking clarity and consistency for a huge network of agents.

The Plan

In collaboration with APIS Productions' chief technology officer, our objective was to revolutionize Lion Street's document gathering process, addressing their significant concerns regarding the time agents spent and the lack of clarity and consistency across their network.

Our approach involved simplifying and streamlining the process to minimize agent workload while ensuring consistent and accurate outcomes. We devised a system of conditional questions designed to swiftly guide agents through relevant inquiries, leading to the generation of precise documents tailored to each client's insurance needs.

By implementing this innovative solution, we aimed to furnish Lion Street's agents with a user-friendly, intuitive tool that would enhance efficiency and accuracy throughout the organization.

Discovery & Design

Understanding

During the discovery phase, our initial step was to collect a comprehensive set of questions, which we then categorized into distinct steps to guide the form's flow effectively. Recognizing the importance of efficiency, we made a strategic decision to condense related question groups into cohesive sections, thus minimizing the number of screen transitions required. This approach not only facilitated smoother navigation for agents but also enabled them to bypass irrelevant questions, significantly accelerating the overall process flow.

Wireframing and Prototyping

The design underwent multiple iterations before reaching the final, happy path, prototype showcased below. Leveraging Lion Street's branding, I ensured a seamless integration with the overall website design, maintaining consistency throughout. Going above and beyond, I developed a comprehensive component library and transformed the Figma file into an interactive prototype, exceeding initial expectations.
